#ShowMeHelmetHair Welcome Party
Every May we run our #ShowMeHelmetHair social media campaign to welcome new and seasoned cyclists to the season. It's a play on the tip of the hat salutation and our way of starting a dialogue around post-ride appearance which can be a deterrent to sustained bicycle riding for many people. We started our campaign to raise awareness and provide resources to one of the many causes of gender-disparity in cycling.
We are excited to partner with King of Kings Barbershop at Industry City for this year's #ShowMeHelmetHair Welcome Party.
Join us on Wednesday, May 22nd to chat with New York City's movers and shakers in the bike commuting scene, share your post-ride appearance stories and remedies, enjoy artisan bites, beer, wine, participate in our raffle and silent auction for top-notch products and services. Get bike commuting advice and tips from the Get Women Cycling crew and GWC sponsors!!
