Springtime SDC Pork Belly Bahn Mi
Springtime brings the necessity to add some fresh, crisp, bold flavors to our food. Our palettes are waking up from months spent in Braised Meats Town and Citrus City, so we embrace the switch to some lighter, more fun flavs. Enter the SDC version of a Bahn Mi: Pork Belly tossed with Miso Caramel and topped with a Fermented Slaw of Carrots, Jalapenos and Daikon, Mint, and Cilantro, the whole mess slathered in Dijoinaise and sandwiched on a baguette. Lemongrass Ranch Fries on the side with a Spicy Ketchup for dipping AND a Salted Coconut Rice Pudding with Rhubarb Jam and Coconut Chips for dessert. YUM.
