Casa Esperanza's Michelle Moore Memorial Golf Classic
Casa Esperanza serves families with serious medical conditions cancer, kidney transplants, high-risk pregnancy or neonatal issues. These families come from every county in NM and from five surrounding states. Casa Esperanza offers a supportive home-like environment during patient treatment.
Camp Enchantment New Mexico provides childhood cancer support programs, thus providing a cherished opportunity for pediatric cancer patients, survivors and siblings from New Mexico the opportunity to renew their spirits,in seven-day residential camp session. Camp Enchantment New Mexico is held at Manzano Mountain Retreat while Camp Super Stars is held at Fort Lone Tree in Capitan NM. Together, these camp sessions serve approximately 120 children annually.
The tournament was established in loving memory of Michelle Mike Moore who died on August 21, 1997 after a valiant battle with cancer. Her husband, Fred Moore, created the tournament in 2001 in her name after spending time at Casa Esperanza and seeing first-hand all of the benefits provided to those seeking medical treatment here in Albuquerque.
