Hosted by Philip Simondet

Every month a different local musician performs their original music. Between songs, a group of local improvisers, The Local Music Scene, improvises comedic scenes inspired by the lyrics. May's guest: Doc's Kids.

Doc's Kids is BPZMAG and j.bell, a musical duo born in 1996 along the banks of the Mississippi River. Doc's Kids is part clever songwriting, part comedy, part performance art, and all original. Fronted by trombone-wielding BPZMAG and acoustic guitar slingin' j.bell, the duo specializes in "Acousticomedypop." They entertain crowds of all ages and their strength lies in songwriting and strong live stage presence. They have played nearly every stage in the Twin Cities. As a versatile and flexible group, they have also played birthday parties, house concerts, garages, coffee shops, bars, auditoriums, and gymnasiums. They have performed with Pat McCurdy, The Beatifics, Ben Cook-Feltz and Mary Bue. They are hoping to record a new album in 2019, so stay tuned!
