Low Angle Rope Rescue LARRO - Sponsored by the SFFD United Fire Service Women (UFSW)
LARRO is a 24-hour CA State Fire Training certified course taught in a three day format. The course provides training for responders in the techniques and methods for using rope, webbing hardware, friction devices and litters in low angle rescue situations. Areas covered include rope and related equipment, anchor systems, safety lines, litter lashing/rigging and mechanical advantage systems. LARRO will be taught by instructors from NCRT.
Students are required to download a copy of the SFT LARRO manual from their website and bring to the first day of class (electronic or hardcopy).
Required PPE: Helmet, Gloves, Steel toe boots, Eye/ear protection, pants and long sleeve shirt, sun block
Dates: May 20, 21 and 22 2019
Hours: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (bring your own water and lunch)
Location: South San Francisco Fire Department Training 480 N. Canal St SSF
Cost: $325.00 per student (plus $12.37 service fee)
