DRUM - SING - DANCE WORKSHOP WITH BARBARA BORDEN
Join Barbara Borden for a day of transformation and celebration starting with...
Drum-Sing-Dance Workshop from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. You'll have an opportunity to explore the energizing and meditative power of music and movement as we drum, sing and dance together in community. We'll start with a Yoruban greeting song that uses all the elements in the workshop title. Next, we'll go deeper into using the totality of our bodies to learn how to play with energy and sound. Then we'll do some jamming and improvising and one more song (more activities as time permits). There will be a large dose of fun and folly to help keep all channels open.
All levels are welcome. Please bring your own drum (djembe or dundun are preferred). Some drums will be available on a first come first served basis.

WORKSHOP FEE is $60 until May 15th, $75 thereafter. Scholarship sponsors at $100 or more help fund scholarships for this workshop.
There will be a short break to reset the room from 3:30 - 4:00 PM.

Immediately following the film join Barbara with her BeInTheBeat Drum Ensemble for live drumming with audience participation. Please bring your own drum.
