KATE CAMPBELL
KATECAMPBELLFILMMAKER.COM
Appearing in the Oscar-nominated film, 'Gone Girl', and nominated for a Maverick Movie Award for best-supporting actress for her role in the feature film 'Badsville', Kate is a diverse performer whose immense love for storytelling, music, and art began at an early age while growing up Haliburton, Ontario. An international singer and recording artist, Kate has enjoyed working with some of the industry's most celebrated talents: Robby Krieger of The Doors, Jeff Goldblum and his Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, jazz pianist Andy Langham to name a few. Currently, Kate can be seen headlining at the famed Michael Holmes Purple Room in Palm Springs. Kate is thrilled to continue her collaboration with award-winning jazz vibraphonist, Nick Mancini in her hometown where they were last seen on stage together six years ago.
In 2016, Kate released a jazz/torch EP entitled 'i am that girl' and a full-length vocal album in collaboration with the Martini Kings entitled 'Smile'.
Kate is also a passionate and talented writer whose work has been optioned by Buck Productions, (based in Toronto, Vancouver, and LA), who will produce Boundless, a six part mini-series written and created by Kate about the women pilots of WWII, inspired by the true story of her grandmother who was a Canadian pilot.
An aviation enthusiast, Kate has spent years researching and interviewing women pilots across North America, especially those who served in WWII. Kate is a member of the Coachella Valley chapter of the 'Ninety-Nines', a women's flying club started by Amelia Earhart in 1929, which is now active in 66 countries around the world today.
The next phase of this endeavour puts Kate in the director's chair with a short film version of Boundless that will be shot this summer in Ontario, produced by the Buck Productions team.
The Boundless project is a celebration of these brave women pilots of WWII and their untold stories of heroism and devotion. We also hope to inspire young women to know more about the world of flying and to help create awareness of the many careers available in aviation, space and science. Today, still only 6 percent of all pilots throughout the world are women. We would love your help to inspire that number to grow by telling this incredible story of these unsung heroines of WWII.

Nick's audition for the Manhattan School of music won him the prestigious President's Award scholarship and he graduated with a masters degree in jazz performance.
For the following 8 or so years, Mancini continued honing his craft while cutting his teeth at live gigs all around NYC, earning him a much-deserved reputation as a trusted sideman and kick-ass band leader until a gig took him out west and he found his true home in LA.
