Architecture Matters Design Forum: Hip to Be Square?
Join hosts Amanda Green, AIA, Arturo Levenfeld, AIA, Saxon Sigerson, AIA and Kris Barkley, AIA, for an evening of discussion in exploration of three-dimensional manifestations of the rectilinear parti in residential design.

Strongly rectilinear plans are the norm in modernist architecture and create a readily understandable parti that has served architects well over many generations. Our evening dialogue will explore the connection of plan to form through the work of several architects. Whether developed as an obvious extrusion of the plan or as a springboard for less obvious three-dimensional expressions, these plan transformations raise an important question: Is it hip to be square? Or, is square just square?

We will have a presentation followed by an open discussion led by Amanda Green, AIA.
