Nevenka East European Ensemble & The Swing Riots Quirtette in Concert
Nevenka will present traditional and newly-arranged music from Bulgaria, the Republic of Georgia, Ukraine, Greece and Armenia, as well as songs from Romany and Sephardic traditions.
The Swing Riots Quirktette is a Los Angeles acoustic quirktette performing an irreverent gumbo of Romany "gypsy" jazz, Romanian horas, New Orleans funeral marches, Parisian bal musette, Russian cabaret, klezmer freylekhs, swing standards & the occasional wild, flying monkey.
