This Summer, local girls have an opportunity to get a taste of what their life could be like as a movie star, a news anchor, a photographer, a radio dj, a magazine writer, a poet, a graphic designer and more in Latinitas multimedia art camps. Through intense week-long day camp program, girls can find their creative expression outlet by producing original media arts projects.The Latinitas camp is led by a team of women educators, role models and mentors experienced in guiding girls in hands-on lessons, interactive presentations, team challenges, and fun games that address girl issues and encourage self-esteem, expression, confidence and empowerment. Girls will produce original multimedia arts projects and master techniques in photography, writing, design, radio production and filmmaking.

FASHION STAR CAMP
July 8-11 from 10am-5pm at 10935 Ben Crenshaw #207
Can you spot a fashion trend? Get ready to hit the runway in this fashion camp. Create your own original fashion designs and make accessories. Meet local leaders in the fashion realm, model in a fashion photo shoot and become a fashion star. Girls will have fun with fashion writing, photography, reviews and videos while creating their own fashion magazine!
HOLLYWOOD - CINEMA CHICA CAMP
July 15-18 from 10:00am-5pm at 10935 Ben Crenshaw #207
Have you ever watched a TV show wondering what goes on behind the scenes? Get ready for an audio-visual adventure in Latinitas' film camp. Girls will practice writing a script, acting, filming, video editing and make a video debut. Girls are invited to get an insider sneak peek with Latinitas to make their own video production.
MULTIMEDIA ARTS CAMP
July 22-25 from 10am-5pm at 10935 Ben Crenshaw #207
Latinitas will inspire girls ages 9-14 to find their creative expression outlet by producing original multimedia arts projects during this day camp. Campers will learn how to create original photographs, poems, arts & crafts, audio pieces, essays, designs and short movies.
HEALTHY CHICA - WELLNESS & SPA CAMP
July 29-August 1 from 10am-5pm at 10935 Ben Crenshaw #207
Summertime is a great time to relax & rejuvenate with this camp focused on health, wellness and spa activities. Girls will explore different ways to de-stress and pamper themselves through self-expression. Girls will enjoy spa treatments, facials, manicures, yoga, fitness activities, aromatherapy, nutrition guidance as well as other fun self-care activities.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
The camp is geared toward girls ages 9-14. As part of the camp, girls will participate in multimedia arts and self-expression activities and have their work published on LatinitasMagazine.org. The camp fee is $75 is for each camp and covers supplies, instruction, field trips and equipment. The camp runs Monday-Thursday. Participants are required to bring their own sack lunches and snacks.
