Ways To Prevent Fragile Trinkets From Breaking
Trinkets are meant to be shared and displayed, but when items are openly exhibited, breakage is a major concern. Fragile items can be bumped by anyone or anything that moves. Items that break can be glued back together, but no matter how carefully they are repaired, they are never be the same. It is best to prevent fragile trinkets from breaking in the first place through clever and careful methods of display.
I enjoy displaying my fragile trinkets throughout my home, especially crystal knickknacks. Some are in a freestanding display case, others are in wall mounted curio cabinets, a few are on shelves, and my favorites are openly displayed on side tables. I have found easy ways to buy app downloads and prevent my most fragile trinkets from breaking. I display everything from fine crystal works of art to Hummel figurines, and even though I have children and pets, I have not had a single casualty.
Use Tape to Hold Fragile Trinkets in Place
Fragile trinkets almost always end up breaking when accidentally knocked over. Accidental breakage is easy to prevent with the help of ordinary tape. For lightweight items, roll up small pieces of masking tape, and place them under the trinkets before setting up your displays. It will take a lot of force to knock them over, but they can still end up breaking.
For greater holding power, use double sided foam squares. They will hold fragile trinkets more securely than ordinary masking tape and help prevent them from breaking when bumped. When masking tape or foam tape is no longer necessary, the adhesive easily rubs off. In any case, never apply tape to wood furnishings. Attach fragile trinkets to a display block instead.
Invest in a Wall Curio for Exceptionally Fragile Trinkets
Wall curios are ideal for holding small fragile trinkets. I have two, and they provide one of the safest methods of display. However, fragile items can end up breaking if wall curios are not securely mounted using anchors. Mount them away from walkways or other areas where they could be bumped. Hang them just above eye level for safety, security and the best view of the amazing treasures they hold.
