Dance Camp Northwest 2019 - Campers!
Welcome to Dance Camp Northwest!
Monday August 19th-Sunday August 25th 2019
Please join us this summer for the 7th Annual Dance Camp Northwest on beautiful Marrowstone Island, WA ! Held between glorious views of mountains and sea, we gather from many regional conscious, partner, contact and mindful movement dance communities to dance, play and connect with nature. A full array of amazing and inspiring teachers and DJ's, nourishing meals, community offerings, great people, dancers, artists, healers, activists, families, our youth program and YOU!
Dance Camp is sponsored by Dance Collective Northwest, a 501c3 Washington State Non-Profit -- a volunteer-run, creative collective of people who love to move.
We emphasize:- efforts that co-create community
- respect for differences among individuals and cultures
- empowerment of children, elders, and all community members
- acknowledgement that our bodies and environment are amazing and sacred
- nonviolence, consent culture, and creative conflict resolution
- acknowledgement of the contributions we each make to our community
Tickets And Registration
ALL programming (this is currently linking to 2018 program and will be updated as soon as the 2019 program & schedule have been determined), meals and lodging is INCLUDED in the ticket price. Camping space is limited and always fills up, so please register early if you want tent space.
You can make a Donation to Dance Camp Northwest when you are purchasing tickets, or when shopping online if you choose to participate.
This year we're introducing Economic Justice Rates to further reflect our community values and to help ensure the broadest possible representation of campers, regardless of income.
When selecting your ticket level please take into account your expenses related to loans, family, medical and other responsibilities; balanced with your income related to savings, property and other forms of advantage and privilege. Please pay the highest rate that you can in a way that honors the whole community. For example, everyone has access to Early Bird rates through May 1st, but if you are able to - and choose to - please select the higher ticket price as this benefits everyone. Same thing with later purchases: you can always choose a higher rate.
This structure also allows less financially resourced folks to pay a lower rate for camp regardless of when they purchase tickets, reducing the advantage of those with expendable income having more access to lower cost tickets. Will this work? We think so, if everyone pays the most they can. We do ask that higher income folks please don't use DCNW as a place to "save money" but make the choice to spend a little more and be shouldering your economic fair share in our dancing village.
Over 65? Please choose a rate you can afford. Your level of discount is up to you.

Adult Rates
Annual income levels are given as guidance only, all purchases are on the Honor System
$0-$30K and/or Early Bird Full Camp $525 until May 1st Daily $89.50
$30-$60K and/or elect to pay $575 for Full Camp May 2-June 1st Daily $99.
$60-$100K and/or elect to pay $625 for Full Camp June 2-Aug 1st Daily $113.
$100,000+ and/or elect to pay $675 for Full Camp after Aug 1st Daily $120.
Youth Rates
1st youth Full Camp - $325 Daily $60.
2nd youth Full Camp - $275 Daily $50.
3rd youth Full Camp - $225 Daily $40.
3 years old and under are free
Honoring the Locals
Do you live in PT, Chimacum, or on Marrowstone? We'll be posting our "Locals" tickets when our 2019 schedule is finalized in order to help you determine which days you prefer to attend. Stay tuned!
Consent Culture
This is the ground we dance from at this camp. As participants we agree to pay attention to our own and one another's bodies and boundaries. We agree to read the behavioral agreements (before buying tickets) and to attend consent trainings during camp and throughout the year as offered by our various communities, to empower ourselves and all dancers to find true freedom, grounded in awareness, communication and mutual respect.

Community Service
More than just a vacation, DCNW is a community in which you are invited to participate in any way you can. All participants are asked to contribute at least one hour of community service per day towards making this event incredible! Keep in mind community service positions will be available on a first come first serve basis. Registration link for Community Service comes in your Welcome Letter, which includes lots of important information. Please make sure to check your spam folder.
Refunds of 75% will be made up until July 1st, and then 50% up to August 1st, and 25% up until the start of camp. No refunds after camp has begun. Please visit our website for more information.
