The Reluctant Dragon features a princess named Penelope who loves to read about dragons. One day she is surprised to actually meet one, at the very same time that the celebrated dragon slayer, Sir Reginald Thwebes, comes to town. King Rhubarb tells Sir Reginald to fight the dragon who has become Penelope's friend. The Reluctant Dragon, loosely based on the classic Kenneth Grahame story, raises questions about loyalty, friendship and understanding as a girl and her dragon prepare to fight to the death with humor and heart.
The Reluctant Dragon features moving mouth and rod puppets. It is suitable for ages 8 and up.
