Tonya Pinkins & Lindsay Lederman Expert Panel-Podcast--presented by #HealMeToo Festival
PERFORMS:
Monday 4/1 at 12:30 pm

LENGTH OF SHOW: 1 hour

At IRT Theater:
154 Christopher St. NYC (west of Hudson)
Buzzer 3B (third floor)

In a live taping for the #HealMeToo Festival Podcast, Festival Founder and Artistic Director Hope Singsen will explore the neuroscience of healing through the arts with three dynamic guests:

--Tony Award-winner, performer, playwright, director, producer, activist, and #HealMeToo presenting artist, Tonya PInkins,

--Lindsay Lederman, the Clinical Director of The Art Therapy Project, and

--A third expert in neuro- and social psychology.

Artists and audiences alike describe feeling changed by experiencing or creating visual, narrative, musical, and performance works of art. The shift can be slight, but it can be profound, too. What's happening in our minds and bodies when we engage with the arts, to allow that transformation to occur?

PLEASE DONATE TO IRT THEATER

IRT Theater is a grassroots laboratory for independent theater and performance in New York City, providing space and support to a new generation of artists. Tucked away in the old Archive Building in Greenwich Village, IRTs mission is to build a community of emerging and established artists by creating a home for the development and presentation of new work. Some of the artists we have supported include Young Jean Lee, Reggie Watts and Mike Daisey.

This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts and The Nancy Quinn Fund, a project of ART-NY.

PLEASE NOTE: All sales final and there is no late seating at IRT Theater.
