11:30 AM Hilary Kostanoski-Hawke: Banjo tunes from John Cohen's High Atmosphere // High Atmosphere is a must-listen to recording of old time picking & clawhammer players from VA and NC. Bring your banjos, leave with a classic song & tab!

1 PM Bob Altschuler: What Can I Play When I Don't Know the Song? // Playing along w/ songs you don't know is invaluable for playing with others & in jams. From basic rolls to incrementally adding interchangeable licks, phrases & melody notes, Bob will teach a layered approach to joining any song. (Bluegrass)

2:30 PM Lorraine Lee Hammond: Banjo Pickin Women // Aunt Samantha Baumgarner played her banjo for Columbia records 3 years ahead of the Carter Family. Lily May Ledford was a member of the first commercially successful Appalachian string band. Learn abt these influential Old-Time players. Bring your banjo & learn a song or two!
