Finding Freedom is a concert filled with inspirational songs of hope, featuring Confluence Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus in collaboration with guest choruses from each concert venue. The concert will include Words Like Freedom with text by Langston Hughes, a song by Walter Robinson highlighting the heroism of Harriet Tubman, an uplifting traditional Zulu song Freedom is Coming/Hamba Vangeli, and more. Raymond Elliott, Founding Artistic Director of Confluence, will be conducting. |
Audiences will be energized by the power of human survival, perseverance and joy. The Salem concert will feature the First Congregational United Church of Christ Chancel Choir with Devin Desmond, Music Director. The Portland concert will feature the Bridgeport United Church of Christ Choir with Jamie Welch, Director. The Corvallis concert will feature the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Choir with David Servias, Director.
