Single tickets with a free shuttle bus are £7+bf on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

FAQ's Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I walk to the event
A. Sorry but No, There are no pavements from Roslin so it is unsafe to do so on the main road. The steep sided path is not lit and therefor dangerous. The bridge from the castle will be closed off during the event so please take the free shuttle service or arrive by taxi or car.
Q. Where shall I meet the free Shuttle service?
A. Across the road from 'Chapel Cross Guest House' just beyond the war memorial there will be a sign for the shuttle bus stop. It is less than a 1 minute walk from the 37 bus stop
Q. How often does the shuttle service run?
A. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes on Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st and Saturday 23rd at 5:45,6:00, 6:15 for the first showing then 7:45, 8:00 and 8:15 for the 2nd showing.
The shuttle will take you back to Roslin when the event is finished.
Q. Can I get a shuttle bus another time?
A. Wednesday, Thurs and Saturday as above are the only shuttles we have planned for the moment. If this proves popular then we will offer the service on other days.
Q. Does the shuttle cost any money?
A. No the shuttle service is Free of charge.
Q. What happens if I miss the Shuttle service?
A. Sorry but we will only be offering the shuttle services advertised above. Try to arrive ahead of time. If you do miss the bus there are local taxi companies which will not cost much as it is a less than 5 minute drive from the village.

Q. How do I get to Roslin.
A.There are 2 excellent bus services which stop very close to our shuttle stop.
The number 37 from Lothian buses comes through central Edinburgh and stops very close to our shuttle stop. Please see www.lothianbuses.com for timetable.
The East coast Bus number 140 service passes through Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Bonnyrigg, Loanhead or Penicuik and stops very close to the shuttle stop. Please see www.eastcoastbuses.co.uk for timetable.
Q. How do I get there by Car?
A. Please only come by car if you have a car pass which are available on the other listing for £27+bf to admit 5 people.
Q. Can I buy a ticket on the gate?
A. We advise getting your tickets in advance in case it sells out. Individual tickets on the gate will cost £10 so it is cheaper to buy in advance.
Q. can I bring my dog?
A. Sorry no pets as there will be a lot of fire and they might get spooked. Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome.
Q. Can I arrive with a larger group?
A. Yes you can, we advise purchasing your tickets in advance to make sure you get the time and day of your choosing.
Q. Do I need to print my tickets.
A. You don't need to print them but please download them to your phone in advance of arrival. We will need to scan your ticket code. You can print the tickets if you prefer and there is an option to have physical tickets sent to your address free of charge. Please have your ticket ready to show at the gate.
Q. Why do I need a time slot?
A. We have allocated the tickets in 15 minute intervals, this to prevent the site from getting too busy and to stagger the timed walks. Please try to arrive for your chosen time slot.
Q. How long does it take?
A. The whole experience should last an hour but allow for 1.5 hours.
Q. Will there be food and Drink?
A. Yes. there shall be local traders serving up delicious snacks, hot and cold drinks.
Q. Will there be toilets?
A. Yes we will have porta-loos and a disabled toilet.
Q. Is the event suitable for wheelchairs?
A. Yes, the ground is flat and the paths are well maintained. There are a couple of areas which are slightly more challenging to navigate and also there is some grass which may be affected by the weather but overall suitable for wheelchair users.
Q. Will the event still go ahead if the weather is bad?
A. Yes we will go ahead in all weather including rain unless there is a severe weather warning which might make the event unsafe such as high winds, floods or heavy snow and ice.
Q. What happens if the weather is so bad that it is cancelled?
A. We will send notification through the ticket agent 'Brown Paper Tickets'. You will receive either a full refund (minus booking fee) or a replacement ticket for another day.
Q. Can I change the date and time of my ticket?
A. Sorry no the tickets are non refundable or changeable through the ticket agent.
Tickets can be sold or gifted to friends or family if you aren't able to make it.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Wear warm clothes and good footwear, this is an outdoor event in Scotland so prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
