Through The BAND Group's mission to bring awareness and exposure to other nonprofits, each BAND Cabaret spotlights a new nonprofit, connecting performers and audiences with the good work that's being performed in our community.
On Monday, March 11, glam-punk icon (and All The Pretty Horses frontwoman) Venus de Mars takes the Bryant Lake Bowl stage for a rare intimate show. The evening will feature songs from her forthcoming EP as well as other songs from throughout her long and varied career as well as a few surprises.
In keeping with the mission of BAND Cabaret, this cabaret will spotlight the work of Transforming Families; a Twin Cities-based community where transgender, gender non-conforming, and questioning youth and their families come together to support each other - and have fun! - in a safe, welcoming space that provides the opportunity to meet and learn from other people traveling the same path.
