CityDance Summer Intensive Audition 2019
You don't have to go to NYC, Philadelphia or Brazil for world class intensives this summer. CityDance Summer Intensives bring professional artists from around the US and the world to you! CityDance Summer Intensives provide a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary techniques taught by Dance Theatre of Harlem, Koresh Dance Company and International Artists, as well as CityDance Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev.
CityDance Summer Intensives prepare young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized professional training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
Intensives are ideal for young dancers, ages 9-20, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and world dance. Other highlights include choreography workshops, partnering, gyrokinesis, and an exciting culminating performance showcase at the end of each two week intensive segment.
There are 6-8 weeks of intensives scheduled for the summer of 2019 and you can choose any of the two week segments. You can tailor your summer training to participate in one or all of our summer programs from June through August. One week experiences are also available.

Conservatory Back to Dance
August 12 - August 23 (M-F, 9am - 5pm)
Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore Intensive
(Dates TBD, by invitation only)
AUDITION INFORMATION:
In-person or video audition is required. Audition Classes on May 4th will emphasize the Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) at CityDance Intensive. Ballet and Pointe Audition Classes will be taught by Robert Garland, the DTH Resident Choreographer a well as CityDance Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore.

Ages 12-14 y.o. (with 2 years of pointe experience + Petite Conservatory Students):
Check-in 10:00-10:30am
Ballet 10:30am-12:00pm
Pointe 12:00-12:30pm
Modern Contemporary 12:30-1:30pm
Ages 14+ (Contemporary focus):
Check-in 12:30pm -1:00pm
Ballet 1:00-2:30pm
Pointe 2:30-3:30pm
Contemporary 3:30-5:00pm
Ages 14+ (Ballet focus):
Check-in 11:30am -12:00pm
Ballet 12:00-1:30pm

Please register here with $25 audition fee. Online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless, however the doors will be open for walk-in students ages 8-14 y.o. on May 4th. Please bring a headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!

DRESS CODE
Female: leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic straps and/or pointe for ballet and pointe class. Leotard, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary.
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black or white ballet shoes
