Boundary Setting for the Helping Professions with John Vassello
Often in human services, ethical decisions arent black or white.  How do you make decisions in the gray area? How do use professional values as a guide? Is there a systematic method for determining - and embarking - on the most ethical course of action?

This workshop for health and human services professionals will review and discuss the values and ethics that guide professional practice. Applying some concepts from social work, it will provide participants with practical, useful tools for ethical decision making.

Attendees will:

-  Learn the definitions of values and ethics
-  Discuss what happens when different professional ethics
  conflict with each other
-  Discuss real world ethical dilemmas and how they would handle
  them
-  Learn about tools to assist with decision-making in ethical
  dilemmas
-  The importance of utilizing the word NO
-  Develop skills for boundary setting around self-care
