Battersea Choral Society Presents Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn
On Saturday 23 March Battersea Choral Society, with world-class soloists and The Battersea Ensemble, will perform Elijah, Felix Mendelssohn's oratorio depicting events in the life of the Biblical prophet Elijah. It premiered in its English version at the Birmingham Festival in 1846. Conducted by the composer, it was immediately recognised as a great work of art. We look forward to performing this masterpiece and welcoming our audience to Holy Trinity during our 20th anniversary celebrations.
