Silly Stages launches a new summer theatre camp for kids aged 12 - 18!
Ever wanted to perform on stage, or learn a new skill? With our brand-new educational summer program, we'll make those dreams come true!
Where else can you learn from practicing theatre professionals?
The program dates:
Monday thru Friday: 10am - 4pm (lunch is 12:30PM - 1PM)
August 12 - 23
at Mansfield's Cabaret, 50 Bond St E, downtown Oshawa
Performances:
Saturday, August 24 4pm & 7pm
(The cast will be required at 12pm)
at the historic Regent Theatre, downtown Oshawa
The program will focus on what it's like to rehearse a musical within a schedule based on what a Broadway rehearsal schedule looks like. Throughout the program, students will learn voice (spoken and sung), scene and character studies, staging a music, dancing/choreography, set design, costume design, a brief overview of technical design, and they will also learn valuable skills to bring to every audition they attend.
The program will culminate in a performance of DISNEY'S FROZEN JR at 4pm and 7pm on Saturday, August 24th.
This program is by audition, and only 30 participants will be selected. There is a non-refundable audition/registration fee required (this covers our staffing and venue costs for the auditions). This fee is $50 (plus tax and service fees).
This fee MUST be paid by April 1st, 2019. Auditions will be held during the afternoon of April 13 from 2pm - 5pm at Mansfield's Cabaret. Casting decisions will be made the following week, and those who are successful will be required to pay the full program fee by May 1st, 2019 (a link for the program fee will be sent in casting offers). All fees are payable online (preferred), or by cheque.

$499.99 (plus taxes and service fees)
Once you pay your non-refundable audition fee, our Program Co-Ordinator will e-mail you with more information, and a form to fill out with your student's information.
