Bowl for Their Future

I am proud to announce our 24th annual fundraiser event. Currently we are co-hosting Bowl for Their Future, a fun-raiser for Youth Outlook March 30th, 2019 at the River Rand Bowl in Des Plaines IL from 6:00pm until 10pm. We are reaching out to you today because we are looking for generous financial and gift donations. During our fundraiser we have door prizes, silent auction, and a bunch of fun games. Without your generous donation we cannot make this night a blast and meet our biggest goal yet of $10,000.

The 9 to 12 Bowling League Rain Bowlers was started in 1977 and is the longest running LGBTQ suburban bowling league in the Chicagoland area. Our leagues meet monthly from October until May one night a week from 9pm until 12am, hence the catchy league name. For the past 23 years the 9 to 12 bowling league has assisted nonprofits like HIVCO and Vital Bridges with a fun night of bowling and fundraising. Once again, we have selected a wonderful organization in the suburbs that we feel deeply about, the nonprofit organization is Youth-Outlook.

Youth Outlook is the first social service agency in Illinois solely dedicated to the support of LGBTQ+ youth. They work in 6 counties in the Chicago suburbs, offering Drop-In Centers for youth (DeKalb, Palatine, Naperville, Geneva, Sterling, Ottawa, Elgin), parent and caregiver support, and community education. Youth Outlook began in 1996 when a group of community members in DuPage County met to discuss their concerns over the lack of area resources for LGBTQ+ youth. Since that time, Youth Outlook (formerly Questioning Youth Center) has been committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for adolescents, whether they identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ+). In 2002, in recognition their ongoing work, Youth Outlook received an award for Excellence in Service to LGBT Youth from the Human Rights Campaign Illinois Chapter.
