Estella Solomons, whose centenary passed in 1982 without public attention, was a renowned painter at the very nerve-centre of Irish cultural life for half a century. A member of a distinguished Jewish family, wife of a respected poet and man of letters, friend and hostess to most of Dublin's literati and artists, she was also a passionate advocate for Irish Nationalism. Just in time for St. Patricks Day, MJFF is proud to celebrate the Irish - Jewish connection. Ellen D. Murphy will speak following the screening.
Tickets at the door will be $12 and $10 and will be sold the day of the event one half hour before the film start time subject to availability.
