Erin Costelo is a throwback from the present; a songwriter that brings to mind the 'golden age' of music. Pulsing with a confident and cathartic energy, her voice draws comparisons to such icons as Nina Simone and Carole King. But these comparisons only paint a partial picture of Costelo's talent. Through her writing, arranging, producing, and masterful live performance, Costelo is unquestionably herself. She successfully floats between genres, continuously pairing the best sound to a feeling, idea, or story. In addition to her five studio albums, Erin has had the opportunity to open for Mavis Staples, Dr. John and Bettye Lavette and has recently performed with Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band.
