Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen had one son, Sigurd, who became the Prime Minister of Norway. His other son, Hans, was born to his German maid and lived in relative obscurity. A blacksmith, he fathered eight children, with only one of them surviving. He also buried two wives. |
This lively 30-minute production showcases the talents of Matt Irvine as Sigurd Ibsen and Ivan Henwood as Hans Henriksen Birkendale. As they compose letters to Henrik, they struggle to come to terms with father absenteeism and their individual places in the world.
A dark comedy.
