Deborah Karp Dance Projects This Is How We Begin
This Is How We Begin is an experimental contemporary dance performance that examines ongoingness as a somatic state, as a desire to hit life's non-existent "pause" button and as a pervasive public environment in which so much intense news keeps on coming. Danced by Arletta Anderson and Aura Fischbeck, with a live, original score by SO AR/Robert Lopez and Shanna Sordahl. Audience members will witness full-bodied sweeping movement in combination with idiosyncratic gestures, accompanied by SO Ar's percussive and electronically melodic sounds.
