Introduction to Design Thinking
Introduction to Design Thinking
Thursday, August 15, 9 am5 pm
Taught by Bobby Hughes
Participants ages eighteen and up

How can design be used to make great experiences that promote learning and cultivate lasting, positive change? Design thinking is an approach to problem solving that combines empathy and creativity to answer messy, world-sized problems through innovation and collaboration. Design is no longer "nice to have"; it's now "must have" in fields including education, business, and healthcare. In this seven hour hands-on workshop, participants tackle a local design challenge in teams and learn how to apply design thinking in the classroom and beyond for insights and solutions to education reform, poverty, and other issues. No prior experience or skills are necessary. A willingness to be bold, have fun, and try new things is required!

$150 member/ $200 nonmember
