Receita de Samba (Recipe for Samba) is the first time Brazilian jazz is being featured through the Community Concert Series @ St. Michaels on Sunday, February 10 at 3 p.m. Celebrated Boston musicians, Anna Borges and Bill Ward, are the husband and wife duo providing the vocals and guitar sounds for this perfect mix of Samba, Bossa Nova and jazz. Brazilian native Fernando Brandao is a flutist, composer, author, educator, and international performer. With the addition of piano, bass, drums and percussion added to the mix, this six piece ensemble will be a rare treat for the audience. The concert will take place at St. Michaels Church, 399 Hope St., Bristol. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $10 for students with ID.
