Directing the Short Show
This 4-session class will take students through the process of developing a show, with prewritten script or designed (musical revue) show. Students will identify unifying themes, define characters, attend casting auditions and cast a show. Students will create rehearsal and production schedules, develop actor movement and visual pictures and discuss rehearsal etiquette. They will assist each other in learning Stage Manager duties. At the end of this session students will have a "ready to rehearse" show.
Saturdays Jan. 26, Feb.16, March 16 and Sunday March 3 12:30-2:30pm
Cost: $80.00 Early Bird $68.00 (By January 15)

Instructor: Kathryn Adkins Bio: Bio: Kathryn Adkins has 20+ years teaching theater, voice and directing for the Cabrillo Theater Arts department as well as companies in San Jose and Santa Clara. She has performed in Europe and for diverse companies including Opera Theater of St. Louis, Santa Cruz Symphony, and Tandy Beal and Co. and many musical theatre companies including 7 leading ladies for Cabrillo Stage.
