Join Minnehaha Park historian Karen Cooper as she tells Robert Emil Fischers story. Fischer was a Minneapolis Park Board commissioner, a park policeman, a perfume maker and a poet. He was also Hennepin Countys greatest sand artist: he made intricate designs in small glass bottles using the colored sands found in Minnehaha Park. He sold them as souvenirs locally as well as throughout the United States. His sand art will be on also be on display in the Museum starting in December.
