ALL EVENTS AT GULFPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY

FRIDAY:

3:30-5:00pm    Readings by 7 romance authors along with afternoon tea
7:00-8:00pm    Meet all the Authors and Leslea Newman at our wine and cheese reception,

SATURDAY:

10:30-11:30 am  "It Takes a Village to Raise a Writer and Activist." Award-winning author and poet LESLÉA NEWMAN
                         (Heather Has Two Mommies, A Letter to Harvey Milk;
                         I Carry my Mother and dozens of novels and
                         childrens  books)
11:30-3:30pm   Author readings (Mystery, Young Adult, Poetry,  
                         Literary and Non-fiction)

9:00-12:30pm     Workshop with Lesléa Newman
WRITE FROM THE HEART is a writing workshop that will help you hone your writing skills by figuring out exactly what you want to say and the best way to say it. Writing exercises will guide participants in exploring the emotional truths of their lives and crafting this material into powerful fiction or poetry. Approrpriate for emerging writers as well as experienced writers. Please bring something to write on, something to write with, an open heart and an open mind.

1:00-3:00pm       Author panel. Join Ann Aptaker, Cheryl Head, Becky Bohan and Amy Lauren for their ideas about what makes for great Lesbian Literature.

ALL LITERARY EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO ALL (EXCEPT FEE FOR SUNDAY MORNING WORKSHOP)
