Guest Chef Dinner with Chef Johnny Curiel
We are thrilled to have Chef Johnny Curiel join us for an evening. He invites you to taste truly high end Mexican Cuisine. This is his bio: I come from a proud family of chefsmy mom, dad, and sister are all executive chefs! From a young age, I knew that I would become a chef too, and I got my start at 14 washing dishes in my dads kitchen. At 18, I decided to travel across Mexico and learn as much as I could about the cooking traditions of each state. In three years I visited almost all of them, learning from everyone I couldfrom famous chefs in bustling restaurants to abuelas in their home kitchens. At 21, I joined Richard Sandovals team, cooking at restaurants and competitions across the USA and MexicoDC, New York, Los Angeles, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, and Aspenand then joined Troy Guard in Denver, working the Kitchens of Guard + Grace, Los Chingones, and Mr. Tuna. In 2017, I joined Big Red F family at Centro Mexican Kitchen in Boulder, CO as the Executive Chef. My goal is to introduce people to the many wonderful flavors of Mexico, and in that way share my culture with them. I love seeing the look on their faces when they taste something for the first time, or when a flavor brings them back to a place theyve loved.
