Child's Play: an evening of true-life stories about childhood awakenings
Have you ever looked at one of your sexual fantasies or habits or beliefs and wondered, Whoa, where did THAT come from? Well, Childs Play is the show for you. In this special one-night presentation, storytellers from around Berlin take the stage to share their personal stories of childhood sexual realizations, under thoughtful curation by hosts Shauna Blackmon (Stumbling on Sexuality) and Cameryn Moore (Little Black Book Productions). Audience members have a chance to share their own experiences anonymously, and games and gifts keep the evening in a curious, encouraging space. Researchers know that sexual awareness can come early in life, through experiences and words that can leave a profound impression. But societys attitudes about talking about sexuality mean that young people have few safe outlets for sharing and understanding these feelings, which can hinder their development for years to come. Childs Play is our way of making space in the world for this sharing to take place.
- open mic spots, with fun participation prizes - bucket for anonymous questions and anecdotes - caring, encouraging atmosphere
NOTE: Child's Play is a space for stories of curiosity and consent only. If you are interested in an open mic spot, email littleblackbookproductions@gmail.com so we can consult with you on the story that you want to share.
