Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty.
In 2013 we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, which marked a profound and historic change in the relationship between France and Germany. While the close ties of the established Franco-German friendship seem self-evident, it is in fact the result of great effort by both countries over the last five decades. The Treaty not only laid the foundation for a lasting and trusting partnership between the two leading economies of Europe, but it also was the engine for our peaceful and prosperous Europe.
A wine and cheese buffet will be offered.
