The Honeyrunners & STNT "Rock n' Soul" Listening Party
Put on your party pants and smoke 'em if you got 'em because 2018 Live & Original/Art Crawl fan favorites "The Honeyrunners" and "Swampy & the Note Troll" return to Collingwood's Simcoe Street Theatre for a night of soul drenched swamp rock tuneage from their upcoming albums!

As a special gift for supporting Live & Original music in Collingwood, all attendees will receive a "Swag Bag" including music and goodies from awesome local businesses!

With tasty beverages (cash bar) provided by the Huron Club and musical comedy c/o special guest Glacial Erratic (Dave Loopstra) to open up the evening, this party will be a surefire way to warm up from the cold February weather, or to unwind as an "Apres" after a day on the slopes!

Brought to you by Keynote Speakers, Red Room Recordings and the Town of Collingwood, this "Live & Original" series event will be filmed LIVE for later online release so we want all of you to bring your game faces, rock out with us and make some noise!

Swampy & the Note Troll is a Canadian songwriting and production team originally comprised of NASA scientist and hydroponic systems expert Cody "Swamp" Thompson & professional engineer and music producer Josh "the Note Troll" Maitland. Their First full length album, "Mandatory Minimums" was released March 27th, 2015, and is a tribute to anyone who has been jailed, derailed or failed by a system which favours wealth over health and profits over people - The supporting 2015 summer tour saw the addition of three new members to the ranks, including expert percussionist Bambalamb, who has toured with acts as diverse as Issac Hayes, Bodycount & Ras Michael, classically trained jazz guitarist (and fellow scientist) Sean Ratcliffe, and top shelf drummer Kelly Badger, son of the Bass/Guitarist/Vocalist of the legendary Scenics! Mark Henry, longtime friend and high-school bandmate to K-Bad jumped in on Keys and Bass in 2018 and Album #2 is well under way with plans for release in late 2018.

STNT bring a reggae and blues soaked rock & roll party to every venue they play by combining original music, storytelling and their own take on well known covers from the 70's up to present day.

Glacial Erratic (aka Dave Loopstra) sings soulful, meaningful and socially important songs about how, at the annual family reunion, he really loves his Aunt Peggy's potato salad but isn't crazy about her yams, which are super gross because for some reason she makes them with raisins.

This one time, Glacial ate too many pot cookies at a party. This caused him serious anxiety about where he should put his hands. Maybe in his pockets? That felt even weirder. Eventually he had to leave. He walked home but hid in the ditch every time a car turned onto the street. Pot cookies are not something you should serve at parties if you want people to be, like, 'social' and whatnot.

Glacial encourages us to ask more serious questions like, "Why doesn't uncle Bob just trim his freakin' nose hairs?" and he is not afraid to stand up to Samsung (whose dishwashers totally suck), which takes real courage. His lyrics are raw and true (i.e "Sometimes my cat is really annoying. He walks in the kitchen and he's like 'Meow,' and I'm like 'Shut up Lily. F***'!") which is a song about how annoying the sound of "Meow" actually is. Glacial lives in Thornbury with his wife, two kids, and cat.
