Holiday Harmonies: An A Cappella Concert Event!
The holiday season is about good friends, cozy feelings, and...vocal harmony! That's why 5 of the Bay Area's best a cappella groups are joining forces to put on the first annual Holiday Harmonies concert, hosted by 2018 Harmony Sweepstakes National Champions Business Casual. Featuring pop & holiday tunes, this show is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family! All proceeds benefit Family House.
Wine and beer will be available for purchase at the show. Credit cards accepted.
Participating groups: Beyond Zebra, Business Casual, Internote, Levels of Vocal Expression, and Side Note.
About Business Casual: Vocal band Business Casual combines elements of pop, jazz, and other genres to produce fresh a cappella versions of vintage chart toppers, today's top 40 hits, and award-winning original songs. In 2018, Business Casual won the title of National Champions of the Harmony Sweepstakes a cappella competition! The group performs frequently at a variety of public and private events. Past performances include the annual tree lighting at San Jose's Christmas in the Park, Dreamforce, and the 2018 Aca Open Finals at Carnegie Hall.
About Side Note: Hip. Imaginative. Fun. Fresh. Funky Fresh. Side Note is a group of seven twentysomethings, from wildly different musical backgrounds, who draw their diversity to create an all-new sound. It's contemporary a cappella - pushed to the limits of pop, R&B, funk, rock, musical theater and jazz. Get ready for some buzzin' beats, rockin' riffs and hot harmonies as Side Note delivers a show unlike nearly anything else in vocal music!
About Levels of Vocal Expression: This 5-person Bay Area vocal band culminates their individual influences of jazz, funk, gospel, and electronica to create an eclectic, powerhouse pop a cappella sound and ultimately, spread love and positivity through their music.
About Internote: Internote is the first inter-company a cappella group in San Francisco's Bay Area Techapella scene.
Founded in 2016, they seek to bring together singers from all tech-positive venues to sing, dance, perform, and get to know each other.
About Family House: Founded in 1981, Family House is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Benioff Childrens Hospital. Qualifying families live more than 50 miles from UCSF, and many live at or below the low-income status as determined by UCSF. Their location sustains nearly a 100% occupancy rate and can accommodate 250 people per night. Over the course of a year they serve more than 4,000 families.
