AFP Central Ontario Chapter Philanthropy Awards Luncheon and Education
Join us to celebrate our philanthropic community!
The 2018 AFP Central Ontario Chapter Philanthropy Awards Luncheon and Education event will be held in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day celebrations on Thursday November 15th at Amica At Barrie, Theatre Room.
The event will start at 11:30 am in the Theatre Room, networking and a light lunch will be provided, followed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Youth In Philanthropy Award Presented by TELUS", followed by Speaker Samantha Banks, Director of Philanthropy, Under 40, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.
Samantha will be facilitating a discussion:
Dismantling The Kids Table.
Those under 40 do not want to reinvent the wheel; they understand the importance and legacy of what generations before them have built and want to enhance and enrich it.
We do not want to position the under-40 demographic as sitting at the kids table, but, rather, give them a seat at the head table and work together to develop our organizations success.
Samantha Banks has been working and volunteering in the philanthropic sector for over a decade. She is a graduate of the Humber Fundraising and Volunteer Management Program and has held positions on both the fundraising and granting side of the industry. She loves to dance and throw events that bring amazing people together. She has worked in Montreal and Ottawa, and served as the Chief of Staff for a Family Office and Foundation in Toronto.
