Mandarin Forest School
"Tian ren he yi", meaning, "Harmony between human beings and nature" is the fundamental principle in traditional Chinese culture and philosophy. This serves as the basis of all Chinese livelihood and relationship; contemplation of part and whole, reflection and source, beginning and ultimate. Through forest school free play we nurture children's innate comprehension of "Tian ren he yi" by giving them space to feel and explore "yin yang" or "balance" in nature. Their class experience will include Mandarin songs during our walks and circle time, as well as Asian-inspired tea and snacks.
