SOUTH BEND WOMEN'S MASTERMIND
No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind [the master mind]. ~Napoleon Hill

This quarterly event is for women who are entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders, visionaries, artisans, change makers and solopreneurs. In other words...all women!

By getting the perspective, knowledge, experience, and resources of others in the group, not only can you greatly expand your own limited view of the world you can also advance your own goals and projects more quickly.

The focus of our gathering this quarter is: 

"Perfecting Your Pitch"

Whether you are introducing your business to a potential client, seeking funding, interviewing for a job, proposing a new project at work or negotiating a family situation, the crux of success in those and other crucial situations is planned, effective communication.

Our special guest, Maria Gibbs, will lead us through a process to plan that communication. You will walk out of this session with the foundation you can replicate no matter what kind of pitch you need to prepare for!

Maria is the co-founder of INVANTI, a South Bend-based startup generator. INVANTI recruits entrepreneurial talent before they have ideas and provides them deep insight into the most important problems facing Americans today, then helps them generate new solutions and business models and ultimately build companies that matter.

Previously, Maria was the Operations and Research Coordinator for the international non- profit organization Bridges to Prosperity, which creates access to health care, education and markets by teaching communities how to build footbridges over impassable rivers. She also served on the Board of Directors for the organization. 

Maria has a BS in Civil Engineering from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering for the University of Notre Dame, where her research focused on developing a human-centered approach to wind mitigation of long span footbridges.
