ENGELBART SYMPOSIUM - The Demo @ 50
THE ENGELBART SYMPOSIUM The Past and Future Impact of Engelbart's Legacy, As Interpreted by Thought Leaders and Digital Luminaries On the 9th of December 1968, Doug Engelbart and his small team ushered in the Information Age with a groundbreaking demo, which came to be known as the Mother of All Demos. Exactly fifty years later, on December 9, 2018, members of Engelbart's original team and distinguished computer and internet pioneers, along with exceptional thought leaders and inventors, will convene for an extraordinary event: THE ENGELBART SYMPOSIUM, The Demo at 50. PRESENTERS INCLUDE (subject to change): Vint Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee, Christina Engelbart, Adam Cheyer, Ted Nelson, Howard Rheingold, Tom Gruber, Tim OReilly, Andy van Dam, Wendy Hall, Gardner Campbell, Stephanie Couch, Paul Saffo, Brant Cooper, Jeff Rulifson and other members of Engelbart's original team.
In addition to the Program, meet fellow travelers, mingle, see current projects inspired by Engelbart, and tour Computer History Museum Exhibitions, including items related to Engelbart (the Museum has a leading collection of Engelbart records). 8:30am REGISTRATION (Continental Breakfast included) 9:15am - 5:30pm SYMPOSIUM (Lunch included) 5:30pm - 7:30pm DEMOS & EXHIBITS and RECEPTION
