Transgender Day Of Remembrance
Our Transgender Day of Awareness event is sponsored by Bainbridge Pride and Kitsap Pride and will be held at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art on Sunday, Novemeber 18, at 4pm.
We welcome the spirits of those who had too little welcome in their own lives.
We will read and honor the names of Trans-people who were murdered in the last year, and acknowledge those who took their own lives, or who are in most difficult times and situations, especially the homeless and shunned youth of our world.
We welcome all communities to this, the spiritual heart of ours.
We also honor the Q Youth Resources Center, the Kitsap Transgender Community Group, the Transfriendly Parents Group, PFLAG, and all who work to bring help and awareness of our community to all.
