Stand-Up Tragedy (an evening of tragic variety)
Part cabaret, part variety show, part performance-driven cathartic frenzy welcome back to Berlin's one and only
Stand-Up Tragedy: an evening of tragic variety
Monday, Oct 22 * 8pm Lovelite, Haasestr 1, Berlin Tickets: €8/adv, €10/door
Stand Up Tragedy makes you sad; we make you think; we make you smile. Expect storytelling, comedy, clowns, puppets, burlesque, and more, all playing up to the tragic form but not always taking it seriously. The night ends, not with a whimper, not with a bang, but with a cathartic sing-a-long.
In honor of Halloween, we're layering on a sub-theme of "TERRIFYING," EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Performers - Laura J King (opera with a disturbing edge) - Petra Baumann (Is it comedy or oversharing? Why not both?) - Borbala Szente aka Pina Brutal ("Ask me what 'pina' means in Hungarian.") - Noemi Veberi Levovnik (alter-ego encounters from The Slightly Strange Theater) - Kysy Fischer (female-drag clown from ABA NAIA)
with your tragic host, Cameryn Moore ("Yes, I do more than smut." <sigh>)
What is Stand Up Tragedy?
