A bang-up line-up of songs, comedy, imagination and puppets!
Ben Kunder is a Toronto based Singer/Songwriter/Actor/Beast and a graduate of Sheridan College Musical Theatre Program. His most recent theatre debut was in Charlottetown as smooth crooner Johnny Cash in Ring Of Fire. Ben is working on producing his next album, and will be performing at the Cameron House for a month long residency every Wednesday! Ben has travelled all over Canada singing, writing, living and loving. You don't want to miss the warm, smoky tone of this handsome lumberjack.
Anna Sudac is a Kingston-born, Toronto-based singer/songwriter/actor/comedienne, and a graduate of the Sheridan College Music Theatre Performance program. She has done things like play Patsy Cline in Milford, ON, perform an Eminem song as Ophelia in a hip-hop re-imagining of Hamlet, imitate Celine Dion in the video "The Power of Bacon." (YouTube) and co-write two children's musicals. Anna is a proud member of the outrageous Toronto band Random Task Force, and writes and performs with the sketch comedy troupeTouch My Stereotype, who recently enjoyed a showcase at the Montreal Sketch Festival.
Ben Deutsch is a Toronto- based puppeteer, motion capture actor, voice actor, writer, and finger-bike specialist. His credits include the The Big Comfy Couch, Wilbur, Ants in Your Pants, Ruffus the Dog, Land O' Hands, Kids CBC, and the film, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Currently, Ben is working a pilot web series: August in the Underworld (a fantasy adventure romance with an all puppet cast!) You can check out more information about the series at: http://www.augustintheunderworld.com/ Beyond the world of puppetry, Ben has spent time in the Canadian Army, and undertaken archaeological excavation in the Middle East; he yet dreams of one day combining all three.
Julia Hladkowicz is a comedian and actor who has won numerous awards in the world of comedy such as the Hogtown Comedy Festival Directors Award, 2008 Fresh Meat Showcase Nomination, the prestigious Brian Linehan Scholarship Award and was crowned Last Comic Smoking. Julia Has appeared on The Comedy Network, is a regular on Much Music's Video on Trial, is on MTV's Losing It, YTV's Extreme Babysitting and on SiruisXM's Laugh Attack. Meghan Hoople is a Toronto based Actor/Singer. She has performed all over Canada as Loonette from the Big Comfy Couch, starred in two Ross Petty Panto's, and was Mustardseed for Canadian Stage. Meghan will be singing the anthems for the Toronto Blue Jays again this year! Aside from singing, she also works in TV, Film, Voice and other such shenanigans. Meghan is thrilled to be producing her 6th Cabaret, and even more excited to debut this one at the Flying Beaver!
