This is a moderately strenuous 3-mile round trip hike on the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust's Mountain Home preserve with stewardship coordinator Neal Hedges, accompanied by WA Native Plant Society's Susan Ballinger on Friday and by
Seattle Audubon Master Birder Scott Ramos on Sunday. The
varied habitats attract an incredible diversity of birds.

Wear hiking boots and bring water, snacks, and binoculars.
Carpool from Bird Fest Central.

Ten pre-registration slots, and two day-of walk-ups, for a group limit of 12 each day.

Our 11th Annual Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest will once again offer four fabulous days of field trips, hands-on discovery centers, speakers, mellow strolls, strenuous hikes, wildflower walks, birding by raft, pontoon boat or bus ... activities for all ages, all experience levels, and all fitness levels.

Featured this year are keynote speaker John Ruthven, often called "the 20th Century Audubon," Master Birder Idie Ulsh presenting "Feathered Architects," Sarvey Wildlife Center's Alive! Look a Bird in the Eye, bird banding with PSBO, a Songbird concert with Michael Carlos and friends, an artwalk, bilingual activities with Team Naturaleza, and more.
