Come play with us for an afternoon of exploring the Loop and searching out fall fun! Bring Your Own Theatre Productions is hosting our first ever scavenger hunt fundraiser event, and we want you to join us. Defeat the other teams to win the greatest BYOT bragging rights in the city (and prizes to be announced soon from our amazing donors, too).
In teams of four to six, you'll solve challenges, find special locations, and pose for the camera as you race the clock and each other to complete this festive Halloween (and theater!) themed afternoon of fun around our beloved downtown. For $20 per person (or $15 per person if you are Bringing Your Own Team of four or more), you'll find not just the things on our list, but also a great afternoon of fun, laughter, and some sides of the city you might not have noticed before.
Do you have what it takes? Whether you're assembling your favorite seekers or coming solo and meeting a new group of best friends, BooYOT: A Hallow-awesome Scavenger Hunt is sure to be filled with tricks and treats alike. Come play with us!
Start and end locations to be announced soon. While this is a family friendly event, do keep in mind that walking will be necessary to complete the hunt.
What is BYOT? At the end of every month, five writers, five directors and a group of actors come together to create a never-before-seen show. Writers, Directors and Actors are randomly grouped at a meeting the night before and then the writers have until the following morning to write an original 10 minute play. After a presumably sleepless night, the writers hand off the theatrical baton to the directors and actors to rehearse until the performance!
We offer the chance for artists of all skill levels, training, and experience to try new skills and hone old ones in a judgement-free artistic environment. To do that, we need you, our wonderful audience and patrons, to give us your generous support. We thank you, whole-heartedly, for supporting new, local theater!
