A Brush with Jazz
Joining forces for one special night only will be Chicago's Chad McCullough, Belgium's Bram Weijters Quartet featuring John Bishop and Piet Verbist, with Special Guest, Seattle's own Gail Pettis and local artist, Leigh Knowles. Interactive and fun, this evening promises to leave you dazzled.
McCullough: For nearly a decade these four like-minded musicians have formed a tight musical bond with three albums and numerous festival appearances, worldwide.
This evening will also feature works from Weijters and McCullough's brand new duo album, Pendulum (Shifting Paradigm Records). To hear tunes or read up on the Quartet and Duo:

Pettis: Critically-acclaimed Seattle vocalist and long time friend, Gail Pettis has a rich career, named 2010 Northwest Vocalist of the Year, by Earshot Jazz Society, (also 2007). Gails rich, warm vocals and understated phrasing have been described as deliciously soulful by Cadence Magazine. To see videos and read more on Gail Pettis: http://gailpettis.com
Knowles: Owner of Knowles Studio and long time artist - Leigh has engaged with over 30 various groups, painting images in response to the color, tempo and feeling of the music. Paintings are auctioned off at the end of the performance to raise funds for scholarships. The interaction between artists produces an ever-changing painting -some works have surprises and some are tributes to the musician, such as Chad McCullough (see image) - or - dearly loved Saxophonist, Hadley Caliman - his last performance was in Knowles Studio.
