Don Militello: Performance and Talk
Science tells us that the ability to multi-task is a myth. When attempting to do two things at the same time, we have no choice but to toggle our attention back and forth between the two activities. So when you're listening to music while reading a book, for a good deal of time you're not actually listening to the music at all.
Come and join pianist, Don Militello in a talk about how to get the most out of listening to jazz. Hear Mr. Militello's entertaining stories about his life during his forty year career as a performer and let Don lead you on how to reconnect with the music you love. The program will feature Mr. Militello (alum of the Glen Miller Band and the Irene Reid Quartet) on the Steinway Grand playing a mix of jazz standards and original music. All ages welcome!!!
Please note: There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door.
