FiddleJazz: A Celebration of The Violin In Jazz in 3 Concerts! Attend all 3 for $32!!!
Jazz? On the violin??? The violin was hugely important to the development of jazz and African American music at the beginning of the 20th century. The earliest New Orleans bands were often led by violinists, and the violin was there for every major development in the genre. Come hear the music and discover the sounds of the violin in jazz and discover the importance of it's players - ATTEND ALL THREE CONCERTS - covering the developments from Africa, slavery and the Blues through Jean Luc-Ponty, Regina Carter and contemporary jazz!
