Delacy Memorial Golf Tournament
This year, Rock in Road is standing up for youth music at the Delacy Memorial Golf Tournament, starting at Noon, on Sunday, October 14th, at the Twain Harte Golf Course, to offer a whole big Band Stand Weekend! The Delacy Memorial Golf Tournament is being held in memorial of long time music advocate Ron Delacy and to carry on the tradition of the locally renowned Doo Doo Wah Open. All proceeds raised will be used for two scholarships to be awarded to music students at Sonora and Summerville High Schools. A limited number of tickets are available to participate in this madcap tourney where the worst player wins and normal rules of play do not apply.
Tickets to participate won't last long and include entry into the tournament, a limited edition t-shirt, a ticket to Band Stand on Saturday, October 13th, from 2pm - 8pm, at the Opera Hall, and a Burger Banquet Awards Ceremony with music by Cactus Bob and Prairie Flower.
